So I wanted to add another small project to the blog in which I talk about stories throughout the gaming world that you may, or may not have heard of. A sort of wrap up of what's happened over the course of the last weekend, right before we dive into the next. Let me know what you think, and if you want, hit me up with any stories you might want me to share, good, bad, or anything in between. So let's get this thing kicked off shall we?

First story comes in the form of a leak. Now I'm not one to talk too much about leaks, or speculate, but this one comes from the all mighty and powerful Amazon if I do remember. So Amazon went, and fucked up by accident, and potentially let loose the release date of the new Fallout game, Fallout: 76. So when first put up for Pre-order, Amazon put a date of release as July 31st, 2018. Now the funny thing about that date...it's a Tuesday. IF, and that's a big if, that is the release day, that would be pretty smart of Bethesda IMO. Why? Name 3 other big games coming out before the end of August. You can't, and so it would be smart to get ALL the business it can when so many will have some time off to play. Amazon has since, changed the date to the "usual" December 31st, 2018. So I guess we will see Sunday night. Would you be excited to see a AAA game come out in the middle of Summer? Second story is another leak that, well seems to happy pretty much every year for Ubisoft. So the next Assassins Creed game was leaked, thanks to merch that Ubisoft has to sling with every "iconic" release. With a key chain branding the name of the next game, Ubisoft rushed out a 5 second teaser saying they would see us at E3 to talk more about the game, which will be taking place in Greece. I still haven't had a chance to play Origins, but how excited are you guys for a new Assassins Creed game already potentially a year after the last release? Would you rather see a later date? Do you think it's a good idea to strike while the product is still hot? So Atari has been working on a console for a little while now, the VCS, and finally the had an Indie Go Go account made to fund the project, only asking for 100K, and as of the beginning of the week, is over 2 million dollars. The console has a couple of different versions, ranging from $199 to $299, depending on what you want with it. It'll come preloaded with around 100 games, and backers can look to get it Spring 2019. I think it's a good thing. For nearly 2 decades it's been 3 major consoles fighting each other, and for the most part that's lead to some great games, but if a fourth contender can really get in on the market and shake some shit up, that will only help us, the gamers, out by giving us even more quality games. What do you guys think about this? Do you see it as a positive in the industry? Or do you think it'll be a dud?

So Star Citizen is once again in the news, and not for a good reason. The game that's been in development for over 6 years, and is still very much in early Alpha, has just asked it's fans if they want to pay them $27,000 for nearly every item in game. You read that right, 27K. Now the even more fucked up thing, the one that's even more fucked up than the asking price of a new car, is that you have to have spent at LEAST $1,000 in game to even see this page, and this great deal. A game, and a studio, that has amassed nearly 200 million in funds from it's backers, is diving straight into the deep end, and I can't believe people are still playing OR handing any kind of money over. 6 years, barely any game, and asking people to pay what's nearly a years worth of pay to unlock the entire game is beyond nuts. I hope people aren't really shedding money for this crap. Finally on the last week of bullshit, with Steven, we come with RDR2 and it's fuckery. Now I'm excited for the game, and I'm sure going to pre-order, as I rarely do these days. But I a couple of days ago, pre-orders for the game went out, and everyone got super excited that this was finally happening...until they saw what the bonuses are. Now we don't know how long/lengthy this game will be, but if you look at the varying prices and ranges for different editions, there are a huge amounts of content that seems to be ripped away for essentially ore money. It bogs down the hype a bit, and shows just why pre-order culture has always been toxic. I know right this second, I'm not one to talk, but as the years go by, we've seen things like entire maps, levels, and even DIFFICULTIES, get stripped away in the name of making more money, or with pre-orders, instant money. The risk is with us, when pre-ordering anything, you are taking a risk that you'll love this product, before actually getting said product in your hands. This continues to take things to the next level, and I'll try to see if I can get you guys a review just to see how egregious it is in the end.

So that's all I have for now, I hope you enjoyed, if you liked this and you want more, let me know, as I hope to keep doing these, maybe even soon making them video updates once a week instead. I'm trying to get in a good chunk of Vampyr in so I can get you a review at the end of this weekend if I can, so I hope to talk to you all soon.
